About the book:

From the heartland to the coasts, from coed to career professional, lover and mother, Ellen Solart demonstrates through her own experience how contact with higher wisdom is found in the familiar locales of our daily lives.

A gifted spiritual advisor and personal growth mentor, she offers us her own story of living life intuitively and creatively by learning to trust the whispers of a subtle level of reality. After the first contact with spirit guides startles her into the reality of reincarnation, she learns the power of meditation and discovers the gifts of intution and of healing that we all possess.

Gradually as she breaks through the crust of social conditioning, we witness her discovery of a self that is never powerless.

Note from the author:

As we experience life, there are clues that lead us through the fog we are all conditioned to accept as reality. We can choose to ignore the clues and continue to be knocked around by outside "circumstances," or we can learn to pay attention and be empowered by our inner authority. It is a matter of choice.

No matter who you are, or what your life environment, there is always an individualized trail that leads to freedom and personal fulfillment. I have written this book with hopes of nurturing your spiritual process no matter where along this path you are.

Sample from the book:

"When an antique dealer friend visited from California, he was impressed with the quality of trash I was finding and wanted to try his hand. I had him write a list of the items he wanted and then we set off to wander the streets at random, watching for the items to materialize in the trash piles.

After roving several neighborhoods, I found the things I wanted, but my friend found nothing that interested him. He insisted I had some special power that he lacked. I assured him this wasn't true, but that I did make certain assumptions that most "normal" people didn't. I fully believed that 1) anything is possible; 2) I deserved to have what I wanted and, 3) that it wasn't necessary to work hard in order to get what I wanted. Most people believe what our society teaches--that we are limited by our physical reality (some things are possible and others aren't), that you must do something to be deserving, and that you must earn what you get. Somehow, I never fully bought these fundamental beliefs of our culture.

After speaking of these principles to my friend, he sheepishly admitted that what he put on his list were only the items he thought might be possible to find in the trash. He hadn't listed the things he really wanted, because he considered them too valuable for someone to throw out. I suggested he make a new list and that we go hunting again the next morning. . ."
